FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for controlling the start of an oil pump (3) of a gearbox (1) using a brushless electric motor and without a position sensor, in which the stator windings (S) in the off state are energized in accordance with a control cycle in an open loop with direct current until the pump reaches a speed threshold at which the mode control changes to closed-loop control at a setpoint corresponding to the lubricant flow required to ensure reliable operation of the gearbox, but without passing through the current threshold, which detects pump blockage, and at which the motor control returns to the DC open loop control loop.
EFFECT: open loop current setpoint exceeds the closed loop threshold in order to obtain a higher torque on the pump in open loop than in closed loop.
