SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the delivery of an active agent. A foaming pharmaceutical composition for the delivery of active agents to the body surface or to body cavities contains water; solid lipid crystals suspended in water, which have a melting point in their crystal state of less than 37°C and more than 25°C; non-lipophilic propellent for blowing the composition and foaming, which is air or a gas mixture imitating air. In this case, crystals are present in the amount necessary for maintaining foam, when the composition is blown using propellent. The composition is adapted for the application to the body surface or to body cavities, when it is blown, so that when foam is heated by the body surface or the body cavity, foam is destructed at the melting point, and the foam content is released to tissues. Lipid crystals are a combination of glycerin-monolaurate and glycerin-monomyristat, which is present in the amount of 1-35% by weight of the weight of the composition. The composition is under atmospheric pressure provided by propellent. A foam delivery system, a method for the production of foam, and the use of a foaming composition for the treatment of a disease in the body cavity are also disclosed.
