FIELD: space technology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to rocket and space technology, and more specifically to thermal protection. The heat-loaded tile in shape is a truncated circular cylinder of a given radius. The cylinder has two non-parallel bases and two samples of material with the size of the radius of the cylinder from the side of the base orthogonal to the axis of the cylinder. The edge heat-protective tile in shape is a truncated rectangle with rounded ends with radii of rounding equal to the radius of the cylinder of the heat-loaded tile. The method for placing heat-protective tiles on the protected surface is characterized by the fact that the heat-loaded tile is glued to the protected surface and to two adjacent heat-loaded tiles of the previous row so that two adjacent heat-loaded tiles of the previous row fill both samples of the glued heat-loaded tile. Two adjacent heat-protective tiles of the next row are glued on top of the heat-loaded tile to be glued, so that the heat-protective tile fills one sample in each of the two adjacent heat-protective tiles of the next row. The edge heat-protective tiles are glued to the protected surface with the base orthogonal to the axis of the cylinder and sequentially to the previously glued tile of the formed row.
EFFECT: expansion of the range of heat-protective materials to be used in spacecraft.
