SUBSTANCE: studded tyre comprises a tread band (2), whereon the corresponding sets of grooves (4) and blocks (5) are formed, as well as a set of studs (9) provided on at least some blocks. On at least one block whereon a stud is provided, a first recess (20) is made, intended for receiving powdered ice, separated from said stud (9) and extending on the block so as to surround the stud at least partially. The first recess (20) comprises a first part (23) of a first width, a second part (24) of a second width, and a connecting part (25) located between the first part (23) and the second part (24), with a width less than the first width and the second width.
EFFECT: improved adhesion of the studs with the ice-covered road.
