SUBSTANCE: tire for vehicle wheels contains tire tread bracelet (2), on which first circular rib (14) is formed, on which a set of first slots (20) is formed, which, in general, pass for at least 80% of the width of the first circular rib, and each of which contains: first section (21), which is essentially rectilinear and has the first slope relatively to the direction along the circumference; second section (22), which is essentially rectilinear and has the second slope relatively to the direction along the circumference, having a sign opposite to the first slope; and connecting section (23), which passes between the first section and the second section. On first circular rib (14), there are additional corresponding sets of second and third slots (30; 40), which are not through and essentially parallel to first (21) and second sections (22) of first slots (20).

EFFECT: reduction in the noise level.
