SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and can be used to assess the quality of technical oil in real time. The device for operational control of oil operability contains an optical radiation source node, an optical radiation input node, a flow channel, an optical radiation output node, an optical radiation receiver node, while two sources of the same laser radiation intensity are introduced into the optical radiation source node, respectively, with spectrum maxima at wavelengths of 1.95 microns and 2.2 microns and two collimators, forming parallel beams of radiation through the entrance windows in the flow channel, a node of receivers of parallel beams of laser radiation, the transmitted flow channel with input windows contains, respectively, two collimators and photodetectors that simultaneously convert the radiation transmitted through flow channel of at wavelengths of 1.95 microns and 2.2 microns into signals, respectively, coming to the inputs of the circuit for subtracting the transmitted signals, the output of which is connected to an indicator of the presence of a difference signal about the presence of water and oil inoperability.
EFFECT: possibility of direct measurement of the presence of water in the oil, the efficiency, reliability and informativeness of measurements that make it possible to accurately determine the performance of the oil in the presence of water.
