FIELD: refrigeration.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to household refrigerating equipment. A compressor is started with the rotation speed set to an initial value. The rotation speed of the compressor is recalibrated so as to prevent deviation of the temperature in the storage chamber of the refrigerating apparatus from the set value. The deviation of the recalibrated rotation speed from the initial value is monitored, and a decision is made on the need for thawing if the deviation exceeds the limit value. The refrigerating apparatus comprises at least one storage chamber, a compressor with an adjustable rotation speed for cooling the storage chamber, and a control unit for adjusting the rotation speed of the compressor based on the results of measurement of the temperature in the storage chamber.
EFFECT: thawing process is simplified.
