SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to smoking articles, in particular, to wrapping paper for a non-burning heated smoking article and to an electric heating smoking system. Non-burning heated smoking article comprises a filler containing cut tobacco and an aerosol-forming material, and includes a tobacco rod part wrapped in a first wrapping paper, wrapping the filler, and a mouthpiece part constituting the end at the opposite side relative to the tobacco rod part. The tobacco rod part and the mouthpiece part are connected using a second wrapping paper, identical to the wrapping paper wrapping the filler or different therefrom. At least one of the first wrapping paper and the second wrapping paper constitutes a wrapping paper provided with a section wherein a heat-sensitive material is added to the surface, acting as the outer surface of the non-burning heated smoking article. In the wrapping paper, the colour contrast ΔE* between the colour of the section wherein the heat-sensitive material is added before the wrapping paper is heated and the colour of the section wherein the heat-sensitive material is added after the wrapping paper is heated at 200°C for 5 minutes is 15 or more. The percentage of the area of the section wherein the heat-sensitive material is added relative to the total area of the wrapping paper is from 40% to 50%. The above smoking article is used in an electric heating smoking system containing an electric heating apparatus including a heating element, a heat transfer element transferring heat from the heating element, a battery unit acting as a power source for the heating element, and a control apparatus for controlling the heating element.
