FIELD: pipe production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a connecting device for a pipe. Connecting device (1) for pipe (2) contains sleeve (13) for receiving pipe (2) and sealing element (5) for providing sealing between sleeve (13) and pipe (2), pressure element (6) to apply pressure to sleeve (13) and pipe (2) and gripping element (4) passing at least along part of the perimeter of pipe (2). In this case, gripping element (4) is equipped with gears obtained by pressing and protruding from a plane of gripping element (4) next to slit-like holes punched coming out of gripping element (4). At the same time, before obtaining gears protruding from the plate plane by pressing, edges of slit-like holes are first subjected to flattening.
EFFECT: increase in the rigidity of gears and increase in their efficiency, as well as increase in time of device operation without maintenance or replacement.
