SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction; it can be used for manufacture of prestressed reinforced concrete products. A method for tensioning armature by an electrothermal method is characterized by that armature is placed in an upper part of a mold for a depth of a protective concrete layer, a grip and a clamp are fixed on it at a distance of each of its ends for the following current supply to terminals of clamps, one of grips is connected to a tension device, part of armature is heated between clamps. Then, heated part of armature is tensioned and fixed. After cooling, the mold is filled with concrete. After its solidification, grips are disconnected through windows made in the protective layer, and the mold is turned over.
EFFECT: obtaining a method for tensioning armature.
