FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: proposed is a heating apparatus for heating a food product in a container. The heating apparatus comprises a chamber configured to accommodate a fluid medium and intake a container. A heating unit is provided for heating the fluid medium. The apparatus also includes a temperature measurement unit and a controller configured to control the heating unit. The temperature measurement unit is configured to measure the temperature of the fluid medium. The controller is configured to monitor the measured temperature of the fluid in order to determine a first measured temperature profile for the fluid medium for the duration of a first set time period. The controller is configured to determine the first heating profile and control the heating unit so as to heat the fluid medium in accordance with the first heating profile if the first measured temperature profile corresponds to the first set temperature profile.
EFFECT: creation of a heating apparatus for heating food in a container.
