SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to heating device (10) for heating food product (12) in container (14), in particular milk in a baby bottle containing chamber (16) configured to contain fluid medium (18) and placing container (14), heating unit (20) for heating fluid medium (18) in chamber (16), element (22) for measuring temperature of fluid medium (18) in the entire time range, computing unit (24) for determining, at each moment in time the time range, which is a first time, temperature difference of fluid medium (18) between first time and corresponding second time moment of time range, different from first moment of time, wherein computing unit (24) is configured to compare the determined temperature difference with the predetermined temperature value, and calculation unit (26) for calculating a point of time for reaching a predetermined temperature, to which a predetermined temperature of food product (12) contained in container (14) is achieved, based on comparison result of computing unit (24).

EFFECT: disclosed is a heating device and a method for heating a food product in a container, in particular milk in a baby bottle.
