FIELD: foundry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of foundry. A method for manufacturing a large-sized combined wax model of a turbine blade of a power plant includes manufacturing an insert, installing and fixing the insert in a mold, treating the forming surfaces of the mold with a release agent, assembling the mold and pressing it into a preheated mold, into the gap between its inner surface and surface of the insert, wax-polymer mixture, extraction of the resulting combined model and its cooling. As an insert, a wax-polymer pre-model (3) is made with a surface that equidistantly repeats the shaping surfaces of the main model (6) and makes up to 70% of its volume on an additional mold. The pre-model is removed, placed in the grooves of the mold of the main model, the mold is assembled and the wax-polymer mixture is pressed into it. The resulting combined model is removed, placed in a dryer for calibration and cooling.
EFFECT: stability of the geometrical dimensions of the model is ensured, the elimination of shrinkage defects in the manufactured blade by leveling the shrinkage of the wax-polymer mixture.
