SUBSTANCE: method for the manufacture of absorbent product (1), which contains absorbing main part (10) and first belt section (20), is described in the claim. The method includes: a stage of transportation of inextensible sheet (21, 22) in the transportation direction, inextensible sheet (21, 22) is a component of first belt section (20); a stage of formation of adhesion area (41) by providing adhesive on the specified area of inextensible sheet (21, 22), which is transported; and a stage of connection of extensible sheet (24) to inextensible sheet (21, 22) with adhesion area (41), extensible sheet (24) is connected in an extended state in the transportation direction. At the stage of connection of the extensible sheet, extensible sheet (24) is connected in such a way that end (41a) from the first side of adhesion area (41) on the first side in the intersection direction is located on the first side relatively to end (24a) from the first side of extensible sheet (24). The intersection direction is a direction, which intersects the transportation direction.
