FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to adsorbents with high adsorption capacity with respect to compounds of such an arsenic compound as arsine. Composition of an adsorbent contains 5 to 15 wt.% of a material containing a bismuth (III) compound on a carrier, and an arsenic-containing material. The bismuth (III) compound constitutes bismuth (III) oxide. The carrier comprises at least one from a metal oxide, non-metal oxide, or activated carbon. The arsenic-containing material constitutes arsine. The carrier has a moisture content of less than 15 wt.%.

EFFECT: effective arsine adsorption, absence of formation of additional undesirable compounds, production of an adsorbent exhibiting no capacity for hydrogenation.
