FIELD: aerosol delivery devices.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to an aerosol delivery device and a method for manufacturing such a device. The aerosol delivery device comprises a housing, a substrate at least partially formed from regenerated cellulose fibers, an aerosol-forming liquid held by the substrate, and a heater configured to vaporize the aerosol-forming liquid during its operation. The substrate contains a plurality of layers, the first layer is configured to store and release the aerosol precursor composition and contains one or more of the following: regenerated cellulose fibers having a hollow cylindrical cross section, and regenerated cellulose fibers having a multilobe cross section; and the second layer is hydrophobic and contains regenerated cellulose fibers which contain a hydrophobic additive.
EFFECT: improved absorption capacity and/or improved quality of liquid transfer to the evaporation heater is provided.
