SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the colloidal synthesis of quantum dots of binary semiconductors of the composition of elements M (metal) and N (nonmetal), including mixing in a glass reactor flask of pre-prepared solutions of precursor elements heated to a certain temperature with such concentrations that in solution in the reactor flask they were: the first precursor MM and the second MN, characterized by the fact that a solvent common to all cases is used, which is not solvating for the second precursor, heated to a temperature 5-15 degrees below its boiling point; the concentrations of precursors were selected in the ratio MN:MM in the range of 0.01-0.1, selected experimentally from the condition of the maximum speed, estimated by the minimum time t, of the formation of quantum dots; the initial aged heated solution contains the first precursor, and the second is added in droplets at the zero point of the process time; in this case, mixing is carried out for a time of no more than 0.1 t.

EFFECT: expansion of the range of semiconductor production solutions.
