FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of power engineering and can be used in the field of gas supply. A method is proposed for operating a turbo-expander power plant containing a three-stage axial blade machine equipped with an adjustable nozzle apparatus, the rotor of which is mounted in rolling bearings. The power take-off from the rotor of the axial blade machine is carried out at a constant speed, maintaining the specified gas pressure at the inlet and outlet of the axial blade machine, controlling the axial load on the rotor support bearing and providing a change in gas flow through the installation in the range from 0.7 to 1, 3 of its nominal value. The degree of reactivity of at least the first stage of the axial blade machine is changed up to negative values and the value of the axial load on the thrust bearing of the rotor is reduced to a predetermined value, into the cavity of which grease is supplied under pressure, a gas leak is formed to remove the lubricant from the cavity of the thrust bearing with venting specified cavity.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the amount of axial force transmitted to the support bearing of the rotor of a turbo-expander unit while improving the lubrication conditions of the support bearing.
