FIELD: air cleaning systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to air cleaning systems, namely to electric air cleaners, and can be used in various industries for cleaning air from pollution. The device contains a generator of high-voltage pulses, a collecting electrode made in the form of a metal pipe and a corona electrode. The collecting electrode is made with grounding. The corona electrode is made in the form of a metal rod and is rigidly fixed along the pipe axis with the help of fasteners. The corona electrode is located with a gap relative to the output electrode of the high-voltage pulse generator. The size of the gap ensures its breakdown by the pulses of the high-voltage pulse generator.
EFFECT: expanding the arsenal of electrostatic precipitators by cleaning gas with a streamer corona discharge and applying a high voltage pulse to the corona electrode due to gap breakdown.
