FIELD: navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to navigation in ice conditions, in particular, to underwater vessels navigating in conditions of continuous ice cover and destroying it by the resonance method. When it is implemented during the movement of the vessel, the outboard water is sucked into the vessel with the help of a water flow channel. Its water intake part is located in the upper part of the ship's plating at the location of the sole of the excited flexural-gravity waves, and the channel outlet is in the aft part of the vessel. Outboard water is sucked into the vessel due to the suction forces arising in the stern of the vessel from the operation of the propeller. The water flow channel is blocked and opened periodically with the frequency of resonant bending-gravity waves for a time equal to half of their period.
EFFECT: additional resonant bending-gravity waves excited during the use of the invention make it possible to increase the efficiency of the destruction of the ice cover.
