FIELD: marine navigation.

SUBSTANCE: navigation in ice conditions, in particular underwater vessels, floating in conditions of continuous ice cover and destroying it by the resonance method. When it is implemented during the movement of the vessel, the outboard water is sucked into the vessel with the help of a water flow channel. Its water intake part is located in the upper part of the ship's plating, at the location of the base of the bending gravity wave, i.e. at the fore end of the vessel, and the channel outlet - at the aft. Outboard water is pumped inside the vessel due to thrust deduction arising in the aft end of the vessel from the operation of the propeller, while the water flow channel is blocked and opened by a valve periodically with a frequency of resonant bending gravity waves for a time equal to half their period. A valve for periodically closing and opening the water flow channel is installed between the additional outlet provided behind the water intake part of the channel and the outlet of the channel at the aft end of the vessel, while the additional outlet is located at the top of the bending gravity wave and provides it with the ability to simultaneously close when the valve is opened and open at the same time as it closes.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of ice cover destruction.
