FIELD: shipbuilding; water transport; breaking ice cover by submarine vessels by resonance method. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes excitation of flexural gravitational waves by submarine vessel running under ice at resonance speed. Simultaneously outside water is sucked inside ship's hull by means of pump located inside ship in water passage. Water intake part of passage is located in upper position of ship's shell plating at area where trough of flexural gravitational wave is located and outlet of passage is located in aft portion of ships. Suction of outside water inside ship is effected by periodic switching-on of pump at frequency equal to frequency of flexural gravitational waves. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of breaking ice cover. 1 dwg
