FIELD: navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to navigation in ice conditions, in particular, to underwater vessels navigating in conditions of continuous ice cover and destroying it by the resonance method. When it is implemented during the movement of the vessel, the outboard water is sucked into the vessel with the help of a pump located in its water flow channel. The water intake part of the channel is located on the upper surface of the bow of the vessel at the location of the foot of the flexural-gravity wave, and the outlet of the channel is in the stern. During the movement of the ship with the help of a pump, periodically with a doubled frequency of resonant flexural-gravitational waves, the direction of water movement in the channel is reversed for a time equal to half the period of these waves.
EFFECT: use of the invention leads to the excitation of additional resonant bending-gravity waves in the ice, which will increase the ice-breaking ability of the vessel.
