FIELD: oil refining industry; chemical industry; power industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for controlling the combustion process in the furnace of a boiler or combustion chamber of a process heater and can be used at enterprises of the oil refining, chemical, heat and power industry. The combustion process optimization method is carried out by continuous monitoring of the specific heat of combustion of gaseous fuels, including with sharp and significant fluctuations in composition and caloric content, when gases released in the processes of thermal oil refining (cracking, reforming, hydrotreating), as well as natural and associated gases are used as fuel. The flow calorimeter measures the calorific value of the gas and generates two signals: one variable, which varies depending on the change in the calorific value of the fuel gas, the other is a normalizing sample, which enters the storage device and is fixed there, provided that all the technological parameters of the boiler or furnace are normal at this moment. Optimization of the combustion process is realized by automatically tracking the slightest deviations of the caloric content of the fuel gas from the fixed normalizing sample signal, followed by adjustment of the gas/air ratio. The normalizing sample signal can be updated when the combustion conditions, boiler or furnace load change, depending on the production tasks.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to significantly increase the efficiency of using gaseous fuel, reduce the time of normalization of the combustion mode in case of deviations from the technological regulations, reduce emissions of hazardous substances into the atmosphere, minimize manual control of the flame of burners.
