FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry, namely, to a composition for determining phosphates in aqueous solutions. Composition of a blister cell for determining phosphates in aqueous solutions based on silica gel treated with a mixture including ammonium tetrahydrate 24-oxoheptamolybdate (VI), antimony potassium tartrate, potassium bisulphate, 2,3-dihydroxy butanedioic acid, gamma-lactone 2,3-dehydro-L-gulonic acid, sodium bisulphate, 2-hydroxypropane-1,2,3-tricarboxylic acid, aluminium sulphate, and flax chaff, taken in a certain ratio.
EFFECT: above method ensures long-term stability of physical and chemical characteristics of the claimed composition and accuracy of determining the concentration of phosphate ion in aqueous solutions.
