SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a caterpillar assembly for a vehicle with a caterpillar drive. The caterpillar assembly contains caterpillar-bearing beam (15) made with the possibility of retention of front and rear wheels (16), one of which is the drive one, a set of bearing wheels, a caterpillar belt. Caterpillar-bearing beam (15) is elongated, and it ends with front and rear ends. Caterpillar-bearing beam (15) contains built-in compartment (37) and hole (36) in one (35) of ends. Compartment (37) communicates with the external environment through mentioned hole (36). Hole (36) is made with the possibility of inserting a transmission device for driving mentioned drive wheel (16) through hole (36) in compartment (37).
EFFECT: increase in the rigidity relatively to twisting, and reduction in the weight of a caterpillar assembly are achieved.
