FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, in particular, to electric power engineering systems, and can be used for indirect reactive power compensation without network current distortion, while maintaining the working voltage level for consumers at elevated network voltage. According to the method for indirect reactive power compensation, thyristor keys with two-way conductivity shunt the reactor phase-by-phase and are connected in the load circuit, wherein the thyristor control angle is changed by acting on the thyristor keys with the control signal, and an active and inductive resistance is introduced into the load circuit after shunting the reactor to a certain degree, said resistance varying in modulus and argument and, in the process of maintaining a balance between the consumed and generated reactive power, simultaneously equalising the current load voltage value.
EFFECT: improved quality and electricity conservation.
