FIELD: car industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in heat engines of motor vehicles. Device (10) for the installation of high-pressure fuel pump (300) is designed for a heat engine containing crankshaft (210) and camshaft (250). Crankshaft (210) is located in a crankcase of the engine, and it contains elliptical gear (200) rigidly connected to the end of the crankshaft facing distribution side (DI) of the engine. Camshaft (250) is driven by crankshaft (210), using a transmission system surrounding elliptical gear (200). Fuel pump (300) contains drive shaft (302), the axis of which is parallel to the axis of crankshaft (210). Drive shaft (302) has an end driven into rotation by the end of camshaft (250), facing connecting side (AC) of the engine, opposite to distribution side (DI). Installation device (10) provides for the installation of fuel pump (300) relatively to crankshaft (210) and contains device (11) for control of the angular positioning of the crankshaft, and a device for control of the positioning of the fuel pump of identical accuracy. Device (11) for control of the angular positioning of the crankshaft and device for control of the positioning of the fuel pump contain a through hole passing respectively through the crankcase surrounding crankshaft (210) and the crankcase surrounding the end of drive shaft (302) of the fuel pump, the axis of which is orthogonal to axis (X) of the crankshaft and the shaft of the fuel pump. A method for the installation of a high-pressure fuel pump in an angular position is disclosed.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of the installation of a high-pressure fuel pump relatively to a crankshaft of an engine.
