FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of construction, namely to roof tile. Tile for surface coating with an overlap contains the first and the second support surfaces, wherein the first support surface is on the face side of tile in the area of the upper edge, and the second support surface is on the opposite side of tile in the area of the lower edge. At least opposite side of tile in the area of the second support surface has hydrophobic impregnation. A method for the production of such roof tile is disclosed.
EFFECT: reduction in moisture absorption of tile.
