FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to road machines and can be applied in clearing the road surface from accumulated soil, debris, and ice. Road machine for clearing the road surface includes a base machine, installed on the frame whereof are a hoisting conveyor and working elements in a body, containing a front cutter, a screw, and a brush, located horizontally, as well as a cutter and a brush with drives, located vertically. The road machine is equipped with a storage hopper with a soil volume sensor and an unloading mechanism, a horizontal conveyor, a hydraulic cylinder, a hydraulic distributor, a hydraulic accumulator, an adjustable pressure control hydraulic valve, and a heading sensor. The working elements with drives are therein installed in a separate body hinged to the frame of the hoisting conveyor and connected by a hydraulic cylinder thereto, said cylinder in communication with a four-position hydraulic distributor connected with the pressure and discharge hydraulic lines and with a hydraulic accumulator equipped with a pressure gauge and communicating with the pressure hydraulic line via an adjustable pressure control hydraulic valve and with the discharge hydraulic line via a check valve. The heading sensor is therein installed on the body of the hoisting conveyor, connected with the body of the working elements, and connected with the heading indicator located in the operator's cab via an electrical line.

EFFECT: reduction in the cost, increase in the productivity and quality of the works done, and increase in the reliability of the road machine.
