FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental medicine, namely cardiology. When modeling global ischemia-reperfusion on an isolated rat heart, a Krebs perfusion solution with a working leptin concentration of 1.0 nM is used at all stages. At the same time, the conditioning stage is 60 minutes, the ischemia stage is 30 minutes and the reperfusion stage is 120 minutes. The method protects the myocardium from ischemic and reperfusion injury in an experiment using the optimal concentration of leptin for these purposes and can be used in preclinical studies to develop a laboratory criterion for the threshold concentration of leptin, above which the risk of severe myocardial infarction increases, as well as to develop a drug approach to reduce the volume of ischemic myocardial damage during heart surgery with predicted ischemia, for example, as a preconditioning before coronary bypass surgery or percutaneous coronary angioplasty.
EFFECT: method protects the myocardium from ischemic and reperfusion injury
