FIELD: heat engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to steam compression devices. An intermediate heat accumulator is made with the possibility of charge energy release (i.e., energy return) and/or energy storage and, thereby, regulation of a temperature of a heat source or a temperature of a heat sink in a steam compression cycle. In the steam compression device, the intermediate heat accumulator contains phase transition material (PTM) made with the possibility of charge energy release and/or energy storage and, thereby, regulation of the temperature of the heat source and/or the temperature of the heat sink in the steam compression cycle in different cooling and/or heating systems. The present invention also relates to a method for the selection of phase transition materials (PTM) and/or refrigerants for a steam compression device.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of monitoring the pressure and/or temperature in a heat accumulator, which allows one to effectively manage the entire system.
