FIELD: petroleum industry.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus relates to the technology for heating viscous and paraffin petroleum and petroleum products after extraction thereof for further transportation via field pipelines. Structure of an electric heater for petroleum borehole mud, including a cylindrical outer body with end covers equipped with inlet and outlet branch pipes for intake and output of the heated medium, tubular electric heaters installed in the heating chamber and powered from an external electrical network; according to the invention, a plate is installed in the body of the heater, shaped as a spiral with equal pitch and covering the body of the hearing chamber; also, holes are made in the top of the plate for the outlet of the gas fraction and excess liquid, wherein the heating chamber is equipped with a support disk and a cover, through the holes whereof the external ends of the tubular electric heaters are powered, and on the opposite side, the heating chamber is connected with the tap, with the expansion tank secured thereon by means of a collar, and a drain plug is located in the tap for drainage of the intermediate coolant in the heating chamber.

EFFECT: invention reduces the weight of the structure, provides structural simplification without loss of operating reliability, and increases the efficiency of heating the petroleum borehole mud.
