FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, namely to protective devices designed to protect electrical equipment from overvoltage. The AC voltage limiter is designed to protect electrical equipment in networks from voltage surges and contains an insulating cage, conductive washers, a spark gap, an elastic washer and an insulating ring. The elastic washer and the spark gap are located between the conductive washers. The conductive washers are separated by the insulating ring and placed in the insulating cage. The switching device contains a housing with a hole, a cover with a hole, two contact rods and a voltage limiter. One contact rod passes through the hole in the housing and holds the voltage limiter in the housing on one side, and the other contact rod passes through the hole in the lid and holds the limiter on the other side. The lid closes the housing. The voltage limiter is capable of operating repeatedly and can be easily replaced due to the design of the limiter and the switching device.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of protection and maintainability.
