SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of mineral processing and can be used in the enrichment of magnetite-containing ores. The method for enrichment of magnetite-containing ores that have passed the crushing stage includes the sequential implementation of two stages of magnetic separation, each of which corresponds to its own separation mode for removing part of the waste rocks before the main processing operations. In the direction of movement of the rock mass material to be enriched, two magnetic drums of the same diameter are installed at different levels and one after the other, the magnetic systems of which are based on permanent magnets. The intensity of the magnetic field on the first drum is higher than the intensity on the lower one. The rotation speeds of the drums are set on the first drum at no more than 70 rpm, and on the second drum no more than 45 rpm. Magnetic induction on the surface of the first drum is set at no more than 0.32 Tl, and on the surface of the second drum at least 0.7 Tl.

EFFECT: at least 1.4-time increase in the content of Femagn and Fegen in the magnetic fraction is provided, their content in the non-magnetic fraction, Femagn and Fegen, is decreased to 0.11% and 3.0%, respectively.
