FIELD: display technology.
SUBSTANCE: liquid crystal display includes a transparent area, a light-blocking area and a display area, a liquid crystal unit, a lower polariser, and a backlight module. Part of the liquid crystal unit located in the transparent area is configured to transmit visible light, part of the liquid crystal unit located in the light-blocking area is configured to block visible light, and part of the liquid crystal unit located in the display area is configured to display an image. The lower polariser covers the display area and has a light-transmitting hole, wherein the wall of the light-transmitting hole is located in the light-blocking area. The backlight module includes a bracket, and the inner side of the hole of the bracket is located in the light-blocking area. The display also includes a light-blocking part located in the light-blocking area and surrounding the transparent area without breaks, the light-blocking part is connected with the liquid crystal unit, the wall of the light-transmitting hole, and the inner side of the hole.
EFFECT: possibility of improving the area to body ratio of the screen.
