SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely to a sheet of electrical steel with a grain-oriented structure used as a material for iron cores of transformers. The electrical steel sheet contains a base steel sheet containing in wt.%: C 0.005 or less, Si 2.5-4.5, Mn 0.01-0.15, optionally one or more elements of: Cu 0.01 or more and 0.30 or less, Sn 0.01 or more and 0.30 or less, Ni 0.01 or more and 0.30 or less, Cr 0.01 or more and 0.30 or less, Sb 0.01 or more and 0.30 or less, the balance being iron and unavoidable impurities, and primary coating formed on the surface of the base steel sheet and containing Mg2SiO4 as a main component. The position of the peak DAl of the Al emission intensity obtained from the analysis of elements using glow discharge optical emission spectrometry from the surface of the primary coating in the direction of the thickness of the grain-oriented electrical steel sheet is in the range from the surface of the primary coating to 2.0-12.0 mcm in direction of thickness, and the numerical density ND of Al oxides is 0.02-0.20/mcm2. The peak position DS of the emission intensity S obtained from the analysis of the elements by glow discharge optical emission spectrometry from the surface of the primary coating in the direction of the thickness of the grain-oriented electrical steel sheet is in the range from the surface of the primary coating to 1.0-10.0 mcm in thickness direction, while DS<DAl. The magnetic flux density value B8 of the electrical steel sheet is 1.92 T or more.

EFFECT: sheet has high magnetic flux density and primary coating adhesion.
