FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: electric engine (1) with at least one bearing (4) used to rotatably install the shaft (8) or the axle of the electric engine (1). A sound occurs in the process of operation of the electric engine (1), detectable by means of a sound sensor (12), wherein the source of the sound can be formed, in particular, by at least one bearing (4). A sound chamber (13) defined by multiple defining surfaces is made in the electric engine (1). At least one of the defining surfaces therein includes a sound surface, wherein the sound surface is formed by the surface of the bearing (4) or the surface of the body conducting sound to the surface. A sound sensor (12) is placed in the sound chamber (13) and is made so as to detect sound (15) transmitted over the air from the sound surface to the sound sensor. The electric engine (1) can be a component of a fan and/or a system with an evaluation unit. In the first case, an impeller linked with the rotor of the electric engine (1) is provided. In the second case, the evaluation unit has a communication interface, by means whereof the measured values of the sound sensor (12) and/or the processed measured values from the sensor electronics (16) can be received by the evaluation unit. The evaluation unit is then configured to evaluate the measured values and/or the processed measured values.

EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of measuring sound.
