SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used to select a metaphyseal fixator to replace extensive tibial defects in revision knee arthroplasty. In revision knee arthroplasty after removal of the primary installed components, the location of the bone defect relative to the cortical edge, the presence or absence of deformation of the medullary canal and osteosclerosis of the proximal tibia are assessed intraoperatively. According to the results of the assessment, the metaphyseal fixator necessary in this case is selected: a sleeve, a cone made of titanium or a cone made of trabecular metal.

EFFECT: method reduces the risk of intraoperative complications associated with the technique of performing surgical techniques, due to the selection of metaphyseal fixators, taking into account the technologies for their implantation and the tools used for it.
