FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the production of substituted bicyclo[1,1,1]pentane of the formula (I). The method includes: bringing into contact of a compound of the formula (A) with a compound of the formula (B) in the presence of the first catalyst based on transition metal, optionally the second catalyst based on transition metal, and optionally a base, under conditions selected for the formation of a compound of the formula (I); wherein the compound of the formula (A) has a structure, as is shown further where R1 is selected from a group consisting of C6-10 aryl substituted with unsubstituted C1-4 alkyl, benzoxazole substituted with unsubstituted C1-4 alkyl, C-carboxy substituted with unsubstituted C1-4 alkyl, , and the first boron-containing fragment, wherein the first boron-containing fragment is bound by means of boron; wherein the first boron-containing fragment is selected from a group consisting of and ; where X1 is selected from a group consisting of -C(=O)Y, and the second boron-containing fragment; wherein the second boron-containing fragment is selected from a group consisting of , and , wherein the compound of the formula (B) has a structure R2-X2; where R2 is selected from a group consisting of C6-10 aryl substituted with unsubstituted C1-4 alkyl or C1-4 alkoxy, pyridine substituted with C1-6 halogenalkyl, pyrimidine, and quinoline; where X2 is selected from a group consisting of chloride, bromide, iodide, and pseudo-halogenide, where pseudo-halogenide is sulfonate, phosphate, cyanide, azide, isocyanate, thioisocyanate, or quaternary nitrogen fragment; wherein the first catalyst based on transition metal is selected from a group consisting of Pd catalyst and Ni catalyst, where Pd catalyst is selected from a group consisting of Pd(PPh3)4 and PdCl2(dppf); and where Ni catalyst is NiCl2·dimethoxyethane; wherein the second catalyst based on transition metal is Ir catalyst, where Ir is Ir[dF(CF3)ppy]2(dtbpy)PF6; wherein the compound of the formula (I) has a structure as is shown further: wherein a bond between R2 and bicyclo[1,1,1]pentane in the compound of the formula (I) is a carbon-carbon bond; wherein Y is selected from a group consisting of OR6 and OM; wherein R6 is hydrogen; and where M is monovalent cation; provided that at least one of X1 and X2 is not a boron-containing fragment; and provided that if the second catalyst based on transition metal is present, then either X1 or X2 is -C(=O)Y.
EFFECT: use of the proposed method allows for obtaining a wide range of substituted bicyclo[1,1,1]pentanes.
