SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a Staphylococcus hyicus strain producing staphylolytic amidase and to staphylolytic amidase produced by said strain. Proposed is a Staphylococcus hyicus strain producing staphylolytic amidase and deposited in the state collection of pathogenic microorganisms and cell cultures "SCPM-Obolensk" under number B-8870. Staphylolytic amidase produced by said strain consists of 123 amino acid residues, has a molecular weight of 14,000.75 Da, a calculated value of the isoelectric point pI=10.35, wherein the temperature optimum of enzymatic reaction lies within 40°C, and the pH optimum of the enzyme lies within 7.7.

EFFECT: above staphylolytic amidase is active against microorganisms of the genus Staphylococcus, including antibiotic-resistant microorganisms, providing a possibility of expanding the range of staphylolytic enzymes.
