FIELD: automatic arc surfacing.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in automatic arc surfacing of wear-resistant, heat-resistant, heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant metal layers on low-carbon and low-alloy steels with a consumable electrode with filler wire feed. Surfacing is carried out using an arc with bipolar current pulses with a frequency of at least 50 Hz with a given regulation of the ratio of the average current of direct polarity pulses to the average arc current (ϕ). As a consumable electrode, an electrode wire made of non-ferrous metal, which is an alloying element, is used. The seam is preliminarily welded without feeding the filler wire with an electrode wire from the same non-ferrous metal. The content of non-ferrous metal in the preliminary weld is determined by mass and the difference between the specified content of non-ferrous metal and its content in the preliminary weld is calculated. Depending on the result obtained, a filler wire is used, similar in composition to non-ferrous metal electrode wire or similar in composition to the welded part. The feed rate of the filler wire is calculated from the condition of obtaining a given content of the alloying element in the welding seam by choosing ϕ within the specified limits and taking into account the losses of the alloying element during welding.

EFFECT: method allows optimizing the content of non-ferrous metals in the weld during surfacing on steel, provides high productivity and stability of the surfacing process.
