FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in double-arc welding of compounds in structures of low-alloyed, alloyed and high-alloy steels. First, one-arc welding is performed by each of electrodes intended for double-arc welding, at identical arc currents and diameters of electrodes, by results of which there determined is chemical composition of base and deposited metals, arc current and total surfacing rate. Parameters of double-arc welding are selected and their effect on content of alloying elements in welded seam is determined at maintaining total arc current and surfacing efficiency. Taking into account obtained data, values of parameters ensuring required level of weld metal weld during two-arc welding are selected. Welding seam and weld metal cross-section are corrected by welding spacing between melting electrodes. As an index of level of alloying of weld metal when welding low-alloy steels there used is carbon equivalent, and at welding of high-alloy steels - ratio of equivalents of chromium and nickel.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain optimum content of alloying elements in welding seam when welding most known structural steels.
