SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for liquid filtration. A filtering element for a filtering device for liquid contains case 10A with a longitudinal axis, a filtering means, through which liquid can flow, and at least one connecting sleeve (21), which is opened from its front side at one end of the case, for detachable fixation of the filtering element in through hole (6) of a fixing device in a liquid filter. Connecting sleeve (21) contains a side surface, on which there are a partially flattened section, and a support surface for sealing ring (14) interacting with an inner wall of the through hole. On connecting sleeve (21), a receiving groove is made for the sealing ring, a base of the specified receiving groove as an annular support surface for the sealing ring has a polygonal profile with flat sections and smooth interfaces alternating with each other.

EFFECT: provision of a reliable seal with simultaneous protection from rotation between a filtering element and a fixing device.
