FIELD: electroplating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electroplating, in particular, to chromium plating electrolytes based on compounds of trivalent chromium and can be used in the deposition of thick coatings containing chromium, molybdenum, on complex profile parts. The electrolyte contains, mol/l: chromium chloride 1.0-1.5, sodium molybdate 0.04-0.05, sodium hypophosphite 0.1-0.15, and as a solvent it contains a mixture of dimethylformamide-water in a ratio of 1:1.
EFFECT: obtaining X-ray amorphous coatings with high corrosion resistance with a greater thickness of 2.5-30 microns and in a wider range of cathodic current densities, with a high deposition rate.
