FIELD: electroplating.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electroplating, in particular to the deposition of corrosion-resistant chromium-molybdenum-diamond coatings with high friction characteristics for use in friction units. The method of electrodeposition of the chromium-molybdenum-diamond coating is based on passing a current through a sulfate electrolyte containing diamond particles. Electrodeposition is carried out using a pulse current with a density of 10-100 A/dm2 with a frequency of 0.30-0.35 Hz and an on-off time ratio of no more than 1.35 from a sulfate electrolyte containing, g/l: CrO3 120-150; H2SO4 1.2-1.5; Na2MoO4 20-40; crystal violet 0.8-1.0; ultrafine diamonds with a dispersion of 40-100 angstrom 3.0, at a pH of 0.7-0.8 and an electrolyte temperature of 20-40 ºC.

EFFECT: stabilization of the coating composition and the production of corrosion-resistant chromium-molybdenum-diamond coatings with a molybdenum content of 2.3-6.2 wt. % and the diamond of 0.15-1.86 wt. % with high friction characteristics, which are well proven when restoring hydraulic cylinder rods to size and working in oil environments.
