FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely to a sheet of anisotropic electrical steel used as a material for iron cores of transformers. The anisotropic electrical steel sheet comprises a base steel sheet, on the surface of which, when its cross section is observed with a scanning transmission electron microscope, a final annealed film is optionally present, an intermediate layer, which is located on the surface of the base steel sheet and mainly contains silicon oxide, and an insulating coating located on the surface of the intermediate layer. The area of the final annealed film is 1/2 or less of the area of the intermediate layer, preferably 1/10 or less of the area of the intermediate layer. In the intermediate layer, the value obtained by dividing the standard deviation σ of the thickness of the intermediate layer by the average value T of the thickness of the intermediate layer is 0.500 or less.
EFFECT: sheet has low magnetic losses and high adhesion of the insulating coating.
