FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy, namely to a sheet of anisotropic electrical steel used as a material for iron cores of transformers. The sheet of electrical steel includes the main steel sheet, an intermediate layer formed on the surface of the main steel sheet and containing mainly silicon oxide, and an insulating coating formed on the surface of the intermediate layer. The numerical density of oxide particles in the area from the surface of the main steel sheet to a depth of 10 microns inside the main steel sheet is 0.020 oxide particles per 1 mcm2 or less. The proportion of the area with the remaining intermediate layer in which the intermediate layer did not peel off, but remained in the area in which the insulating coating peeled off after a bending test conducted using a mandrel is 20% or more.
EFFECT: adhesion of the insulating coating is improved and its peeling associated with corrosion is prevented.
