FIELD: binary metal particles production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrochemical method for producing binary metal particles (Cu/Ni) in aqueous salt solutions. The method includes preparing an electrolyte containing copper and nickel cations, direct current electrolysis of the solution in an electrolytic cell with a copper needle cathode and cupronickel anode and obtaining binary metal particles by their deposition, while using an aqueous electrolyte solution not stabilized by a polymer containing ions of recoverable metals, cupronickel anode , made in the form of a hollow cylinder, and a needle cathode, which provides a cathode current density from 10 to 100 A/cm2, in the process of electrolysis, binary metal particles (Cu/Ni) are obtained in the Ni:Cu ratio ~ 1:1.2 and up to 100 nm.
EFFECT: increase in the rate of obtaining the product of the electrochemical process as a whole, reduction of labor costs, including for the preparation of a polymer solution, and the possibility of obtaining binary metal particles (Cu/Ni) up to 100 nm in size and particle agglomerates up to 1 μm in approximately equal ratios, which can serve as effective catalysts in chemical and photographic processes.
