FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a catalyst composition containing platinum (hereinafter – Pt) nanoparticles and inorganic oxide, in which Pt nanoparticles contain no more than 100 Pt atoms. At the same time, Pt nanoparticles have an average particle size from 1 to 3 nm, measured using TEM or by CO pulse method with mean square deviation (MSD) of no more than 1 nm, and Pt nanoparticles have an average particle size of no more than 50 nm after aging at 1000°C during 4 h, wherein the average particle size is measured, using TEM.

EFFECT: proposed composition containing platinum clusters-nanoparticles has improved thermostability indicators.
